The Pentagram- is a five pointed star inside a circle. It symbolizes human spiritual asperations. The top point represents the element of Spirit and power, the left middle point represents the element of Earth and truth, the left bottom point represents the element of Water and wisdom, the middle right point represents the element of Air and love, the bottom right point represents the element of Fire and knowlege.
In some Traditions the pentagram with the single point facing down is a symbol if the Horned God.
The Wiccan pentagram has a single point facing upward. Not to be confused with the Satanist pentagram with two points upward and a goats head in the middle |
